EBT card help: balance, lost card and PIN help by state

Your EBT card is how SNAP (food stamps) and some cash benefits are paid. Here is each state's card name, card help line and official balance site, for all 50 states plus DC.

Common problems

Check your balance

Call the card help line on the back of your card, check your last store receipt, or log in to your state's card account site below.

Lost, stolen or damaged card

Call your state's card help line right away to lock the card and order a new one. Benefits used before you report it may not be replaced.

Protect your PIN

Never share your PIN, and be careful with calls, texts or websites that ask for your card number or PIN. Check card readers for anything loose or added on. Many card account sites let you lock your card between uses or change your PIN. USDA: how to protect your EBT card from skimming.

Problems with your benefits, not the card

For questions about how much you get, renewals or a missing deposit, contact your state SNAP office. Your state page has its phone number and office finder.
